“De noche en Ixtaltepec" / "Ixtaltepec in the Evening." This original print is a tribute to a little corner of the Sierra Mixteca Alta in Oaxaca where I was lucky enough to spend some time. It's a beautiful mountain landscape dotted with different types of cactus, maize, wheat, mesquite, and pine trees.
Printed in Prussian blue (navy).
Dimensions: 14x11 (actual print measures about 8x10 in.)
Materials: Caligo Safe-Wash Relief ink and Legion Stonehenge paper in off-white.
All artwork was drawn and carved by the artist. Note that due to the nature of block printing, you should expect some variance with ink coverage, this is what makes each piece unique!
Comes signed by the artist, packaged in a compostable protective sleeve with a backing board, and shipped in a sturdy kraft mailer.
